In order to publicly discuss barriers and prioritize small and medium-sized businesses in Kremenchuk to facilitate access to the EU markets in the near future and for the medium term, the Round Table on “The role of exports in ensuring economic development of the city” was held at the International Information and Contact Center “Vitovt”.
The event was held within the framework of the Project “Promotion of SME Export Promotion in Kremenchuk” (PROMISE Project) and the Urban Target Program for SME Promotion.
The organizers are the Executive Committee of the Kremenchuk City Council, theKremenchuk City Development Institution and the APIBD.
The round table was attended by the head of the economic department of the executive committee of the Kremenchuk city council Mykola Zdoima, the director of the Kremenchug branch of the Poltava CCI Victor Ginkut, the deputy head of the customs post Kremenchuk Serhiy Basevsky, the Chief State Inspector of Kremenchuk State Fiscal Service in the Poltava region, representatives of business associations and businessmen of Kremenchuk.
Participants discussed the following issues: “Kremenchuk’s export potential and its development vectors”, “Development of export potential of Kremenchuk SME producers”, “Promoting the export of Kremenchuk enterprises: how to overcome barriers and unnecessary restrictions” and “Information provision for the process of exit of Kremenchuk enterprises into European markets »
Entrepreneurs and employees exchanged suggestions on improving the conditions for export at the city level.
Moderator of the event, Director of the Kremenchuk City Development Institution Andrii Melnyk informed the participants of the round table on the creation of an interdepartmental commission on export issues, which included representatives of the authorities, control and fiscal services, entrepreneurs and industrialists of the city.
