29 January, 2018 the representatives of the Polish sister city Bydgoszcz visited Kremenchuk.
The aim of the visit is to familiarize Kremenchuk specialists and representatives of the public with the experience of Polish counterparts in the field of waste recycling.
The members of the delegation are the President of ProNatura Sp. z o.o., Mr Konrad Mikołajski, Vice-President Mr Dariusz Grezicki, head of PR-department Mr Piotr Kurek, director of Department of Communal Waste Management of Bydgoszcz City Council Mr Adam Musiala.
Mayor Vitalii Maletskyi at the meeting with the Polish delegation noted that our cities do not just have long-established friendship, business, cultural and educational ties but also it is very good that they develop, expand, prosper and become more important and significant with each year.
During the meeting, the mayor and the head of the Polish delegation exchanged information on waste management practices, achievements and problems in specified area.
The summit discussed the possibility of organizing traineeships for representatives of communal enterprises of Kremenchuk on the basis of “ProNatura”. Director of PU “Kremenchuk Center for International Relations and Economic Development “Kremenchuk Invest “Andriy Melnyk informed the participants about the agreement on the participation of “ProNatura” in Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian business forum in Kremenchuk scheduled for 10th May, 2018.
After meeting with mayor Polish side held two seminars: “Bydgoszcz Experience in waste recycling management” and “Spreading awareness about the culture of cleanliness increasing and waste recycling among youth and population”.
The event was attended by representatives of Environment Department, Department of Education, National University of Kremenchuk named after Mykhaylo Ostrogradski, Alexandria delegation led by Secretary of the city council, representatives of Svitlovodsk and Kremenchuk regions.
