The winners of the Posters Contest devoted to the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the statehood of the Republic of Lithuania have visited Lithuania.

On August 24-29 winners of the Posters Contest devoted to the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the statehood of Lithuania visited in the Republic of Lithuania.

The competition of posters in the city of Kremenchuk was organized in April-June this year on the initiative of the Lithuanian Embassy in Ukraine, PU “Kremenchuk Invest”.

The trip was possible thanks to the help of the organization of the Minister-Envoy of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine, the Chairman of the jury of the Poster Contest Mr. Gvidas Kierušauskas.

Katerina Krasovska, Julia Rybchenko, Kateryna Naumenko, Marina Blokhina created the best posters among those who came to the competition. Students, school teachers number 26 Serhii Pavlenko, sent the largest number of works to the competition. The winners of the competition had the opportunity to see Lithuania with their own eyes, get acquainted with its history and achievements. Lithuania hospitably received those who are interested in its past and present.

The trip was interesting and full of activities and meetings:

August 24th. Foreign Minister Darius Skusavičius received the winners of the poster competition in honor of the 100th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuania’s statehood. The Vice-Minister congratulated the winners and thanked them for their active participation in the competition.

The authors of the posters presented their works and told about the history of their creation, the process of creativity.

After handing out memorable gifts, the vice minister assured that Lithuania supported and will support Ukraine, provide comprehensive assistance to those who today protect the freedom and independence of Ukraine and sacrifice their lives for its territorial integrity.

The delegation of Ukrainian children and teachers took part in the celebration of the Independence Day of Ukraine on the square of T. Shevchenko and in the worship of Ukraine, for the dead heroes who gave their lives for her freedom and independence which was held in Vilnius – in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity .

August 25-26. A striking impression was brought by the trip to Trakai, Kaunas and Druskininkai, and visits to historic sites.

Special attention was paid to the world’s only museum of shakotis in Druskininkai, which gave an opportunity to learn and get acquainted with the old wooden household appliances of Lithuania.

Fair “Farewell to the Summer” in Druskininkai gave the opportunity to get acquainted with the best works of Lithuanian craftsmen, craftsmen and cooks of national brands and enjoy the burning open battle of the most popular Lithuanian artists and DJs.

On August 28, at the Lithuanian Children and Youth Center (Vilnius), the opening of the exhibition of winners of the poster competition was held in honor of the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the statehood of Lithuania with the participation of Ukrainian and Lithuanian diplomats and teachers, a delegation of young diplomats-winners of the competition. The guests of the event were impressed by the work of young Kremenchuk girls and their interest in the history of Lithuania. The event was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Excursion to the museum of money at the National Bank of Lithuania struck the most. Here on two floors in five halls of Kremenchuk citizens familiarized with the monetary and banking world history of Lithuania, monetary and banking events in Lithuania since the first appearance of credit institutions and still.

On August 29, a delegation of young diplomats winners of the Posters Contest devoted to the 100th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuanian statehood visited the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania.

The delegation was met by the Charge of foreign Affaires of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Serhii Vasylenko and the third secretary of the Embassy, ​​Dmytro Serov.

Kremenchuk people in Lithuania were surrounded by the love and care of Lithuanians, their warmth and attention.

A trip to Lithuania forever will remain in the memory of children!
